Join Our Pack! On a daily basis, we have new foster dogs and cats coming into the system that need medical care, such as insulin, heart meds, allergy meds etc. Won't you be part of the pack and help with a monthly donation?
2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs. Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!

Yesterday, Tidbit got to come to PA. He got to play in the grass with my other dogs, cuddle up on the couch and actually sleep in a real house. In the one day that he has been here, he has shown us that he is even sweeter than I could have imagined. He is so happy, gets along with dogs and cats and is just an awesome little dog. He has so much love to give and deserves a family to spend the rest of his life with. If you want to meet Tidbit, please fill out an adoption application.
UPDATE: I just have to say that Tidbit cracks me up! He is such a quirky little bugger...he lays on the back of the couch like a cat and breaths in your ear, when you pick him up he instantly curls up his legs into a ball and licks you in the nose (just one lick then he's done) and he LOVES my my big pittie girl. When I tell them it's bed time, they go squish into the same dog bed and go right to sleep. He would love to find a family with another dog to play and cuddle with. You really have to meet this little guy
UPDATE: Well I've been with My new foster mommy 4 days now. She says that I'm a little luv bug! I love to play, I get a big burst of energy, like I've been shot out of a cannon, running around, tossing toys up in the air & playing chase with my foster brother Buddy. Then I'm ready to snuggle up on your lap for a nap. I walk very well on a leash & love my walks. I also get along twell with Kiki, my foster cat sister. My foster mommy says that she will be updating my journal every week for a while so that I can hopefully find my furever home but for now I'm loving life here!
UPDATE: Im doing well in my foster home. I love playing with my foster dog Buddy. My foster Mommy says that I'm a little love bug. I get along well with my foster brother & I'm very curious about about the cat, Kiki. I can be a little over zealous at times
UPDATE: My foster mommy says that I crack her up! I have such a funny, sweet personality! I love playing with my foster fur brother & fur sister. I also have been enjoying the secadas! I listen for them & then I pounce on them so quick that they can't get away! I also love sitting in a chair on the deck to take in a game of aggravation I love my walks & my mommy says she is beginning to think I might have some Jack Russell in me because I can sniff out a squirrel & I so love to tree them! I'm a very happy boy!
Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
