Join Our Pack! On a daily basis, we have new foster dogs and cats coming into the system that need medical care, such as insulin, heart meds, allergy meds etc. Won't you be part of the pack and help with a monthly donation?
2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs. Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!

Hello my name is Sheree I am a little sweet heart. I love to play and go on walks. I'm great with the other dogs in my foster home. I have lived with Vegas all my life and really like him but I know we may not be able to stay together :-(
My owner was old and didn't take care of us very well but we are going to have a spa day next week so my foster mommy says I will be BEAUTIFUL !!!!!
Yesterday it got a little chilly out. When it came time for bed I cuddled up against my foster mommy right by her belly between her and her grandson. Even Vegas decided to join in trying to keep our foster family a little toastier. (Those blankets didn't look NEAR warm enough!) When it was time to go out this morning, I took compassion on the lady in the dress and her gray sneakers...she looks SOOO goofy...I did my business in double time! I then went in to play with the other puppies. We took turns playing with the community favorite, a mole with a Santa hat. Everybody knows it's mine, but I have decided (in the spirit of the season) to let the others stare me down with it in their mouths. I just make sure to run in and grabjit while they aren't looking.
I know my foster mommy has other toys, and even know where they are, but she keeps catching me before I can get them out of the bag. I think she does it so she can secretly try to catch me trying to free them!! I know my foster mom will miss me when I go, but she tells me that I am so loveable that I will soon have a family of my very own. I can't wait to smother them with kisses!!
More about Sharee
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
