Join Our Pack! On a daily basis, we have new foster dogs and cats coming into the system that need medical care, such as insulin, heart meds, allergy meds etc. Won't you be part of the pack and help with a monthly donation?
2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs. Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!

Hi! My name is Jessie and I'm looking for my forever home. I'm believed to be a 1.5 years old. Don' let my size fool you, I'm a giant softy and love to cuddle with my people. I'm a happy go-lucky girl without a care in the world.
I thought I was in heaven when I got here and there were 2 other fur-foster siblings for me to play with. I love to run and rough house with them, then go inside and sprawl out for a nap. Any mealtime is my FAVORITE time of day. I start hopping around like a bunny when my foster mom grabs my bowl.
My foster mom says I'm crate and house trained. When I'm out and about, I will let her know I need to go potty by ringing a bed. I'm food motivated, so give me a snack and I'll learn something new in no time. All around I'm a very sweet and polite young lady! Oh and I can walk on a leash like a pro!
My new home will need a fenced in yard. I am looking for a home with other medium/large fur-friend(s) and people who I can cuddle and give lots of kisses to! If you are looking for the same, please fill out an application - I promise I won't disappoint!

Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
