Thank you for understanding and wanting to help an animal in need.

Fostering is a huge commitment. We are a foster network and our fosters are "Diamonds" to us. Fostering is a way of saving 2 lives at one time. The life of the dog you pull and the life of the dog who will have a space to stay in already overcrowded shelters. We require the following of all fosters.
1. When you choose your foster he/she becomes your responsibility until he/she finds her forever home. You will work on his/her training whether that be litter box training, puppy potty training, socialization, etc. You will be required to come to the ranch and have a meeting with either our Director, Lynn Leach or a foster coordinator who will go over the system of fostering. You will meet with our behaviorist for at least 1 one hour training session.
2. You understand that you will be responsible to take your foster for vet care (paid for by the rescue as long as you take it to our approved vet with permission from the director)
3. If you choose to pick a cat or dog that requires grooming, you understand that you will be responsible to setup grooming appointments with the rescues groomers (no expense to you for grooming) and transport your foster to and from their appointment.
4. You will be required to make an appointment with our professional photographer to bring your foster to the studio in Elizabethtown within 10 days of receiving your foster in order for pictures to be taken
5. You understand that you will be required to bring your foster to our events that allow animal participation to make sure that he/she gets exposure so that they may be adopted.
6. You understand that you will be involved in the process of choosing your fosters forever family :)
7. You understand that once you make the commitment to a certain foster you do not have the option to pickup the phone and demand it be removed. PLEASE PLEASE understand this is a commitment that we take very seriously.
8. You understand that your are choosing to FOSTER not adopt. Our fosters are NOT allowed to adopt their first 5 fosters so that they can adjust to the process of this not being about "them" but about saving MANY lives instead of one. You will make many friends and some fosters have been blessed with making close friends that they actually socialize with and see their past foster pups on a regular basis. You are not just saving a dogs life you are also changing a humans life FUREVER!!!!
I understand and am fully committed to 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue and the fosters(s) I choose. I am committed :)
